About Janita Sassen

Janita Sassen (1965) photographs for various magazines, communication agencies, publishers and theaters. In 2021 she won first prize in the category art, culture and entertainment of the Zilveren Camera 2020.

She mainly shoots on commission/she mainly does commercial photography. In addition to the commissions, she also makes her own photo series. In early 2019, she started a series where she photographed 40 people who had all survived cardiac arrest with people from young to old age. The series became a book 'Even dood' and was published in early October 2020. The introduction of the book was written by Fokke Obbema, the Volkskrant journalist who himself survived a cardiac arrest. The series was published in the LINDA of September 2020. Seven works from the series have been exhibited and purchased by Museum de Markiezenhof in Bergen op Zoom.

She is currently working on a series of black and white portraits of people with freckles. The aim is to photograph a hundred people, young and old. All those spots on the face are not always experienced as aesthetic, but Janita wants to show that they are beautiful. Eventually, this should also turn into a photo book.

Exceptional furniture for distinctive spaces. COR furniture is at home wherever people want to work together, relax, confer, present themselves or be guests. Together with contract furnishers and architects, we design projects that are as distinctive as the brands they represent.

About COR

The Satelliet Originals collection arose from the need to create a unique and versatile product range with its own recognisable signature. With Satelliet Originals creatives are given the tools they need to create the most inspiring hospitality locations: places where people like to meet. Therefore we add a ‘touch of hospitality’ into all our Originals.

What makes our collection truly original? The designers behind the unique designs. Satelliet Originals is not just a label with a versatile collection, there is also a very versatile team of progressive designers behind it. All of them believe that together you can achieve more than alone. These collaborations are unique and give an extra dimension to the brand and the products. The eye, the hand and the heart of the designer, that’s where Satelliet Originals makes the difference.

Each piece of furniture has its own character, its own face, and in this way supports the identity of a concept or interior. What makes it complete are the infinite possibilities. Every product embodies hospitality, quality, strength, diversity, individuality, inspiration, relevance and functionality. That is the promise of Satelliet Originals.

About Satelliet Originals

VOUW is an Amsterdam-based design studio working at the crossroads of art, technology and social cohesion. Founded by Justus Bruns and Mingus Vogel in 2017 based on the belief that technology is not solely a means of efficiency and productivity, VOUW is a pioneer in slowtech: design that slows people down to bring them together in the real world.

At GLUE, VOUW Studio will present the Bloomlight. Bloomlight is a street lantern that responds to the passersby like an organic creature. When you approach the Bloomlight, it senses your presence and starts bending towards you, whilst the top lantern starts to open and unfurl a bloom of soft light. Taking inspiration from nature, Bloomlight reimagines what street lighting could be: curious, calming and overwhelming.

About VOUW

Since the 1990s Ella Koopman has been working with textiles as an artist, the flexibility and tactility is what inspires her. She started with fabrics for Parisian and Dutch couturiers such as Claude Montana, J.J. de Castelbajac and Mart Visser. Subsequently, her work was applied in architecture (including the Maagdenhuis, The Van Assendelft chapel in The Hague and the ships of the Holland Amerika Line). Gradually she moved towards sculptures bounded and determined by a metal construction, reinforced, semi hardened textile forms that take on a meaning by their shape. Upstairs in the Arena hotel she shows an Angel in basic colors and fabric treatment, in contrast with belowstairs, for there the world brilliance and coquetry can be found in Golden shimmering fabrics.
