Monique will explore themes such as 'Family', 'Nudes', 'Red' and 'Aquarius'. Family tells a story about grief. Something that's inevitable in all our lives. Nudes is about overload. In times where society is confronted with an abundance of information, we need to protect our bodies and health against too much incentives. Red is a series of three that showcases a painterly Flemish atmosphere. The old painters, texture, still lifes, emotions and the colour red were the inspiration for these photographs. Aquarius shows an underwater world. A world that is a quiet and magical place.

The process of creating altered realities begins with choosing and photographing the models. Once she has captured the right essence of the theme, she digitally edits to complete the story and enhance atmosphere.
